Oregon Judge Declines to Amend Bill Of Rights

The Patriot Act received another body blow today this time from an Oregon judge ruling in the case of Brandon Mayfield, the attorney wrongly arrested by the FBI in 2004 in connection with the Madrid train bombings. Citing the Fourth Amendment, Judge Ann Aiken said the government cannot conduct searches and monitor American citzens without cause.
