Take Action! End Death Sentences in Your County!
Wednesday, April 7, 2010 permalink
See the interactive map below to see how different California counties pursue the death penalty. The map illustrates the geographic disparity in our death penalty system. While most of California’s counties are pursuing the death penalty less in favor of permanent imprisonment, thereby saving millions and eliminating the risk of executing the innocent, a few counties are still out of step. How does your DA stack up? Do you live in one of California’s Killer Counties? Find out and take action by contacting your district attorney!
Click here to take action in LA County with a letter to District Attorney Steve Cooley, or in Orange County with a letter to District Attorney Tony Rackauckas!

If you live elsewhere in California, find the contact information for your district attorney here. Download a pdf sample letter here.
