No on Prop 85: Newspapers Agree No's the Way to Go
Wednesday, October 18, 2006 permalink
California's most-read newspapers are taking a straightforward position on Proposition 85: Vote no.
"Because it endangers young women."
"Parents know in their hearts that a constitutional amendment can't force communication."
"The measure would turn back California's long and proud history of first focusing on the safety of children."
"For girls who are afraid to report molestation by a family member, the proposition would create an almost insurmountable obstacle."
