Religious Liberty: Vietnamese Buddhists Fight for Survival in OC

Garden Grove native, Dang Nguyen, and his family of 3 have been attending Quan Am Temple since it opened in 1999. In the past few years the Nguyen and his fellow congregation have been feeling crowded by the current small building.
The temple has recently found a suitably large facility to hold worship, but through an unfair use of zoning regulations, Garden Grove is attempting to stop the expansion of Quan Am Temple. Meanwhile, the city council continues to provide permits for other groups such as the boy scouts and Boys and Girls club.
