Fitzgerald v. Orange County is a lawsuit against Orange County and its Board of Supervisors for violating disabled Vietnam Veteran William D. Fitzgerald’s right of freedom of speech for expressing his views and criticizing the Board and the way it conducts county business.
Nee v. LASD is a lawsuit against the LA County Sheriff’s Department for harassing photographers photographing public places. The ACLU is seeking damages on behalf of three plaintiffs as well as an injunction to prevent the unlawful search, detention and harassment of photographers by LASD in the future.
