Brown Bag with Elaine Elinson and Stan Yogi
Friday, November 6, 2009 12:00 pm — 1:00 pm
Please join us on Nov. 6th for lunch and a rousing good talk with Elaine Elinson and Stan Yogi, civil libertarians from Northern California and authors of Wherever There's a Fight: How Runaway Slaves, Suffragists, Immigrants, Strikers, and Poets Shaped Civil Liberties in California, detailing the history of the struggle for equality and freedom in California.
Elaine and Stan are excited to share the book with as many community members and activists as possible. That's why we here at the ACLU/SC are, for the first time, opening up our Brown Bag Lunch Series to the general public!
The event is free, but reservations are required. RSVP by Nov.4th .
Seating is limited, and you will need a photo ID.
Don't forget your lunch! But if you do, our friends at Freeway Gourmet on the first floor are happy to help, and you can call in your order that morning. Here's a pdf of their menu. They also have daily specials.
