March to Protest Prison Expansion Measures
Tuesday, October 14, 2008 2:30 pm — 4:30 am
The ACLU/SC invites you to join us in a march AGAINST state Props. 6 and 9, which together would divert needed resources away from schools, health care and other services, divert them into prison and law-enforcement programs, limit inmates’ right to legal representation and parole, and drastically increase the burden on the state budget. They also would target communities of color, immigrants and low-income families, and create more unequal, punitive sentencing. VOTE NO on PROPS. 6 and 9.
Meet at the corner of the Twin Towers Jail, 450 Bauchet St. Los Angeles, CA 90012.
