The charter chapters of the ACLU of Southern California are seeking nominations to their boards for their upcoming fall elections. All charter chapters are part of the ACLU’s activist networks in southern California and are responsible for protecting, fostering and extending civil rights and liberties while advancing the mission of the ACLU.
Chapters are also seeking nominations for elected delegates to the ACLU/SC’s Annual Assembly. The Annual Assembly meets in December to elect at-large members of the ACLU/SC’s Board of Directors; it is composed of members of the Board of Directors and chapter delegates apportioned according to the chapter’s membership.
