About

This is the official blog of the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.

Our work can be categorized as follows:

First Amendment

The rights of free speech, free association, and assembly, freedom of the press and religious freedom, including the strict separation of church and state.

Equal Protection

The right not to be discriminated against on the basis of certain classifications, such as race, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, etc.

Due Process

The right to be treated fairly, including fair procedures when facing accusations of criminal conduct or other serious accusations that can lead to results like loss of employment, exclusion from school, denial of housing, cut-off of certain benefits or various punitive measures taken by the government.

Privacy

The right to a zone of personal privacy and autonomy.

Groups and Individuals That Continue to Struggle For Civil Liberties

The extension of all the rights described above to those who are still fighting for the full protections of the Bill of Rights, including women, immigrants, the poor, people of color, transgender people, members of minority religions, people with disabilities, lesbian, gay, or bisexual people, the homeless, prisoners, and children in the custody of the state.

We accomplish the above by lobbying, public education, and litigation.

I’ve all ready posted this message on Twitter and Facebook and now I’m telling you, though I doubt this will be read by anyone.
The A.C.L.U is about as effective in stopping civil rights violations as chicken soup is to stopping cancer.Your organization consists of chicken shit blowhards more interested in publicity and donations than fighting for justice.
Seems that every time I see the A.C.L.U in the media it’s the same issues;Prison reform and the death penalty. If you are so influential in bringing about change then why is everything still the same?
Now if you Pansies were really interested in the rights of Americans ,the United States
has it’s own Neo-Nazi bureau in all 50 states known as C.P.S.This gang of thugs are responsible for separating families on little more than a rumor. The victims of this band of malevolent misanthropes have absolutely no constitutional rights. This agency is not regulated or censured by anyone. The workers are not subject to prosecution and so feel free to falsify reports and lie on the witness stand.I’m sure C.P.S has been brought to your attention before and since I’ve yet to see the A.C.L.U address this issue I assume you chose to ignore it.Absolute power corrupts absolutely,an apt saying concerning C.P.S.
So go back to fighting for prisoners rights, who by the way didn’t get there for their charitable acts of kindness and the twerp who took umbrage at a farmers daughter joke.Yeah,go on being the decoration for the liberals .Fuck You!
